Een paar jaar terug kocht ik op een beurs drijfkaarsjes (“Schwimm leuchter”), zie drijfkaarsjes.nl. Dit zijn geen kaarsjes van was, maar plastic schaaltjes die blijven drijven. Het concept is tegelijkertijd elegant, efficient en geniaal.

Viper UBAC Special Operations Shirt

With the advent and wide-spread use of body armour came a new type of shirt: the Under Body Armour Clothing. The idea is simple; if you’ll be wearing a vest it may not always be comfortable to wear it overtop your normal shirt or jacket. So the solution is simple: an undershirt with sturdy sleeves.

5.11 Sabre 2.0 – numerous improvements!

Years ago I bought a 5.11 Sabre Jacket, which I reviewed here. Now 5.11 has updated their Sabre into the Sabre 2.0. Normally, with software an update in version number does not necessarily mean the actual product is better. Exchange Webmail 2010 and OpenPGP Signed mail

I am a long-time user of OpenPGP to digitally sign my email. I am aware of the fact that most mail clients do not support this by default (but installing the EnigMail addon in Thunderbird couldn’t be easier).

Most mail clients simply show the mail, with my signature as attachment. No hurt done, they can still read my email message. Now, microSoft Exchange Webmail 2010 has a new feature and gives the following error:

“This message has a digital signature. The digital signature couldn’t be validated because the S/MIME control isn’t available.”

And decides this is a reason to not show the contents of the email. PANIC!

But have no fear, there’s yet another typical microsoft feature here: click “Reply” and you’ll see the contents of the email as quoted text.

They never seize to amaze me.
